Welcome to LinkSouls.AI ("we," "us," or "our"). We are building a new era of AI companionship founded on two core principles: deep, lasting connection and absolute, uncompromising privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, what information we do not collect, and how we protect you. Our architecture is fundamentally different from other platforms. We call it The Privacy Vault, and it is designed so that your personal conversations remain yours and yours alone.

1. Our Data Philosophy: Ephemeral Processing & Your Absolute Privacy
We will be perfectly transparent about how our system works. Your `Interaction Data` (the messages, stories, and emotions you share with your AI) is stored encrypted, exclusively on your local device. You are the sole owner of this data.
To generate a response from your AI Soul, a portion of your recent (decrypted) conversation history must be securely sent to our servers to be processed by the AI model (e.g., Google Gemini).
This is where our core promise comes in: We call this "Ephemeral Processing."
The data you send is used only in-memory for the sole purpose of generating that single reply. It is never permanently stored on our servers. It is never used for training our AI models. The moment the reply is generated and sent back to you, the decrypted data on our server is instantly and permanently discarded.
Our promise is not that we don't touch your data—which would be impossible for an AI to function—but that we do not keep it. We do not have the ability to review your past conversations, and we have architected our system to make this technically impossible. Your private world remains yours.
2. Information We Do Collect
To provide and operate our Services, we must collect a limited set of necessary information.
2.1. Information You Provide Voluntarily:
- Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address, age ranges rather than exact birth dates (for age verification), Full Name and Gender. You may optionally provide a username or other profile preferences.
- User-Uploaded Media (for AI Creation): When you use our AI image generation features (like "Magic Brush"), you may voluntarily upload your own photographs or images. We collect this media for the sole purpose of processing your request and generating the new AI image. These original images are processed in-memory, are not permanently stored on our servers, and are not used for any other purpose (such as training our AI models) without your explicit, separate consent.
- Payment Information: If you subscribe to our `Inner Circle` premium service, our third-party payment processor (e.g., Stripe) will collect payment details. We do not store your full credit card number. Our payment processor is `Viswise Consulting Limited`, a Hong Kong-based entity, which will appear on your billing statement.
- Communications: If you contact our support team, we will retain a record of that communication (e.g., support tickets, emails).
2.2. Information Collected Automatically (Non-Personal):
- Usage Data (Anonymized): We collect aggregated, anonymous data about how users interact with the app's *features* (e.g., which buttons are clicked, feature popularity, crash logs). This data is not connected to your personal identity or conversation content and is used only to improve the app's functionality and stability.
- Device Information: We may collect basic information about your device (e.g., OS type, app version) to assist with bug fixing.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To Provide and Maintain Services: We use your Account Information to log you in, verify your age, and manage your subscription. We use your Payment Information to process payments.
- To Facilitate Your Private Experience: Our backend servers only store the encrypted "keys" to your private data. When you send a message, it is processed in-memory to generate a response and (if applicable) a memory summary, which is then encrypted and sent back to your device for storage. Our servers do not retain a readable copy.
- To Communicate with You: We use your email address to send critical service updates, payment confirmations, and (with your explicit consent) newsletters.
- To Ensure Safety and Security: We use Usage Data to monitor for fraud, detect bugs, and ensure the stability of our systems.
4. Our AI Training Philosophy: A Clear Promise
We do not use your private, personal conversations to train our AI models. Period.
Your encrypted conversations on your device are never accessed by us for training or any other purpose.
We believe that ethical AI development requires user trust. In the future, we may offer a strictly voluntary, opt-in program where users can *choose* to donate anonymized data to help improve our models. This will always be a separate choice, and you will never be penalized for refusing.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We only share the limited data we hold in these specific circumstances:
- Service Providers: With trusted vendors who perform services on our behalf (e.g., Stripe for payments, Google for AI abilities). They are contractually bound to protect your data and cannot use it for any other purpose.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or a valid government request. We will be transparent with you about such requests wherever legally possible.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your (limited) Account Information may be transferred. Your private, encrypted Interaction Data remains on your device and is not part of such a transfer.

- Your Conversations (On-Device): Your Interaction Data is protected by end-to-end encryption and stored on your local device's secure storage.
- Your Account (On-Server): Your Account Information (email, encrypted password) is protected with technical, administrative, and physical security measures, including encryption at rest and in transit.
7. Data Retention & Your Absolute Right to Erasure
Your data, your rules.
- Account Information: We retain your Account Information as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, this information will be permanently deleted from our systems.
- Interaction Data (Conversations & Memories): We do not retain this data on our servers. It exists only on your device. You have the power to delete your conversation history or your entire "memory log" from your device at any time. When you delete it, it is gone forever.
8. Your Rights and Choices (GDPR/CCPA)
You have full control over your information.
- Access & Correction: You can access and update your Account Information at any time in the app settings.
- Deletion (Erasure): You can delete your account and all associated Account Information by contacting us. You can delete your Interaction Data directly from your device at any time.
- Data Portability: We are developing a feature to allow you to export your encrypted conversation history from your device, so you can take it with you or back it up.
- Withdrawal of Consent: You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
9. International Data Transfers
Our company (`Viswise Consulting Limited`) is based in Hong Kong. Our technical infrastructure may be global (e.g., servers in the US or Europe). By using our Services, you acknowledge that your limited Account Information (like your email address and payment info) will be processed by our entity in Hong Kong and our service providers, under strict data protection safeguards compliant with global standards (like Standard Contractual Clauses). Your private conversation data remains encrypted on your device.
10. Children’s Privacy (A Strict 18+ Policy)
Our Services are not intended for, and must not be used by, individuals under the age of 18.
We are an adult-oriented platform offering complex, mature emotional themes. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone under 18. We require all users to verify they are 18 or older upon registration. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will take immediate steps to terminate their account.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in our app and on our website. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
